THEME: PRAISE MOVES GOD

MEMORISE: And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 2 Chronicles 20:22

Read: 2 Chronicles 20:21-26

21. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

23. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24. And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

25. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

26. And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

Some years ago, a woman who was vomiting continuously was brought to us. The doctors examined her and found nothing wrong with her, they prescribed certain drugs for her to no avail.

We said to her “Praise the Lord” and she responded with a powerful “Hallelujah”. As she responded, she vomited a worn and she became healed. You see, God is so great that nothing is impossible for Him to do.

At another time, I had announced during a service that there will be no prayers, just praises to the Most High God. A sick woman was brought to the service for prayers. She was on a wheelchair because she was so sick that she could not stand on her own.

When those who brought her went to the ushers asking for the Pastor to pray for her, they told them, ” Today is just for praises, no prayers”.

The woman then asked for two people to support as she stood to dance during praises, within minutes, she pushed those who were supporting her away and was dancing all by herself.

You need a miracle from God? Praise the Lord!

ACTION POINT:
Spend at least on hour praising the Almighty God today.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: EZEKIEL 34-35, 1 PETER 2

Hymn 8

1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above,
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

3. To all life thou givest to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish, but nought changeth Thee.

4. Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render; o help us to see;
‘Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee.

5. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.
