PRAY AND DECLARE YOUR SPIRITUAL REALITIES

2Kings 6:15-18 (GNB)

…Elisha’s servant…saw the Syrian troops … surrounding the town. He went back to Elisha and exclaimed, “We are doomed, sir! … “Don’t be afraid,” Elisha answered. “We have more on our side than they have on theirs.” Then he prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!” The LORD answered his prayer, and Elisha’s servant looked up and saw the hillside covered with horses and chariots of fire…

If for example, you have a new GSM sim card that is loaded with call units and data, you will never be able to enjoy all the benefits and potentials of that sim card if you don’t activate it by putting it in a phone and switching on the phone. In the same way, we cannot experience all our spiritual realities if we do not activate them by praying them and declaring them into our lives. As we discover from God’s word the things God has said about us because of what He has done for us in Christ, we need to speak them into our lives and we need to ask God for their manifestation.

After God told Elijah that He will send rain, Elijah declared to Ahab that there’ll be an abundance of rain and Elijah also went up the mountain and prayed until there was a manifestation of the rain, (1Kings 18:1 & 41-46). In our text above, Gehazi was seeing only his physical reality and he was afraid and confused. Elisha was seeing his spiritual reality and that is why he was calm and full of faith. Elisha then prayed in line with his spiritual reality and he got a manifestation and victory over the situation. No matter what you are going through in your life, there is a spiritual reality in Christ that God has provided to take care of that situation. Continue to pray it and declare it into your life. It may take some time, but it will surely manifest.

Action Point:
Ask God to open your eyes to your spiritual realities in Christ. Thank Him and begin to pray and declare them into your life
