PRAY GREAT INCREASE INTO YOUR LIFE
1Chronicles 4:9-10 (NKJV), Matthew 6:9-10 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.*After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
God wants you to ask Him for increase. Psalms 2:8 says, “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” As God raises your vision and fills your heart with His desires and the new things He has in store for you, He wants you to pray and ask Him for them. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you,” (Jer.29:11). Increase is the will of God for your life. God wants to enlarge your territory and He wants you to pray and ask Him for new and bigger territories.
Prayer is one way we show that we trust and depend on God. It also aligns our lives and desires with God’s will and plan. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” The Amplified Bible says, “Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.”
As you pray about that increase that you desire in your life, the wisdom, grace and favour of God will begin to flow into your life to bring it to pass. Unlike Jabez who had to pray for God to bless Him, the Bible says we are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph.1:3). Thank God for His abundant blessing upon your life and pray for it to manifest.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for the abundant blessings of Christ in your life. Ask Him for great increase and manifestations of His blessings in specific areas.
