PRAYER FAITH AND PATIENCE

Philippians 4:6-7, Hebrews 6:12 (GNB)

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. *We do not want you to become lazy, but to be like those who believe and are patient, and so receive what God has promised.

God wants us to be bold and confident when we pray. He wants us to trust in His great love for us and He wants us to pray in the name or authority of Christ. He wants us to be assured that He will respond to us just as He responds to Christ, for He loves us just as He loves Christ, (John 17:23).

After praying, God wants you to stay in faith; even if your desire does not manifest immediately or when you want it. Don’t become double minded, (James 1:6-8). Believe that you have received and you will have it, (Mark 11:24). Add patience to your faith. It is through faith and patience that we receive what God has promised us. In The Passion Translation, our last text above says, “So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.”

One reason why the unusual peace of God fills your heart after you pray, is to guard your heart in Christ as you wait for the manifestation of what you have prayed for. Like Abraham, remain strong in faith and keep praising God for answering you, (Rom.4:20). Don’t stagger at the promise of God. You shall receive your manifestation.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for hearing my prayers and I receive your grace to wait on you till my desire manifests.
