PRAYING BASED ON THE REVELATION OF CHRIST (4)

Ephesians 3:14-17 (NKJV)

For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love

The prayer points in our text above are so powerful. We need to constantly pray that by His Spirit, God will strengthen us with His glorious might in our inner man. We need to continually pray that Christ will dwell in us by faith and that we’ll be rooted and grounded in God’s love.

When the Holy Spirit strengthens your inner man with might, there’s a divine courage, boldness and capacity that will be stirred up in you to do the impossible. When Christ dwells in your heart by faith it will no longer be just you living, but Christ Himself living His life through you. You’ll be living your life by His faith. When you’re rooted and grounded in God’s love, nothing will ever be able to shake your confidence in God’s love. You’ll be more than conquerors (Rom 8:37) and the love of Christ will keep growing and overflowing from your life.

Here’s how The Passion Translation puts it: “And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.”

Prayer:
Father, please strengthen me with might by your Spirit in my inner man. May Christ live through me and may I be rooted in your love.
