PREPARE FOR YOUR GLORIFIED BODY
Romans 8:23-25 (TPT)
…We who have…the firstfruits of the Spirit also inwardly groan as we passionately long to experience our full status as God’s sons and daughters-including our physical bodies being transformed. For this is the hope of our salvation. But hope means that we must trust and wait for what is still unseen…So because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfillment.

Our real bodily identity as God’s children has not yet been revealed. We don’t yet know how we will look, but when Christ appears, we shall see Him as He is and we shall be changed to become just like Him (1John 3:2). We are fully like Christ in our spirits and our minds are aligning with our spirits and becoming more like Him. But when He comes back again, we shall be like Him in our bodies. We shall have glorified and immortal bodies. Bodies that never fall sick, age or die, can ascend whenever and to
wherever, and can walk through walls just like Jesus.
Apostle Paul describes our present physical bodies as an earthly house or tent that we will someday put away for a heavenly one. He said our mortality will be swallowed up by eternal life, (2Cor.5:1-4, 1Cor.15:51-54). This is what the Bible refers to as the redemption of our bodies (Rom.8:23) and the hope of the Gospel that we will experience if we continue in the faith, (Col.1:5 & 23). Some passages refer to it as the completion of our salvation or the salvation that is to come, (Rom.13:11, Heb.9:28, 1Pet.1:5). This is what the Holy Spirit seals us for, (Eph.1:13-14).
The Bible says if we suffer with Jesus, we shall be glorified with Him, (Rom.8:17). When Jesus comes back, He will be glorified in the saints, (2Thes.1:10). His glory will be fully seen upon us; in our bodies. This hope makes us keep ourselves pure, (1John 3:1-3).
Prayer:
I thank you Heavenly Father for the glorified body that I will receive when Jesus returns. Help me never to lose sight of this hope.
