Promote Unity

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:  Jonah 1-2

TEXT: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalms 133 :1.

In any way you can, ensure you always promote unity. Never be an instrument of strife and disagreement. That is the major weapon of the kingdom of darkness to access the body of Christ. He operates with his divide and rule strategy against believer. He knows that where there is unity and oneness he cannot penetrate neither can he carry out his mission there. So what does he do?
He fires the spirit of disunity which comes via strife, envy, backbiting, jealously, lies, bearing false witness against one’s neighbor etc. You see believers just because of envying another believer’s position always speaking negative against him no matter his impact so as to displace him. Some bearing false witness on what never occurred to undo someone. Many parading lip love while their hearts breed hatred that can be very deadly.

Hear me, the devil has had enough of his tricks on the church. That sister, that brother, that pastor, deaconess is not your actual enemy, they are brethren only used by the devil to achieve his aim. So to focus on them alone ignoring the devil is to cut the branch leaving out the root. Your major focus should be the devil and his cohorts who have sold themselves to doing evil to hinder your destiny.
Such crop of persons, cannot escape divine judgment because scripture says, “Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.” (Psa. 34 :21).

To promote unity therefore, learn to appreciate others’ view. Deliberate on issues and come to an agreement. You alone cannot be having your way where you have several people or partners involved. At times that may be if it is the right opinion, but there is a way to make them see reasons with it by the wisdom of God. Also engage the supernatural in the place of prayer to destroy that spirit of disunity among brethren.

I pray for you, you will not be an agent of disunity.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, baptize me afresh with the spirit of unity, in Jesus name….
