This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it

Gratitude determines our attitude. The more thankful we are, the better our attitude – and our outcome – will be.

Rejoicing is a habit that we choose. It has nothing to do with the details of our circumstances but everything to do with a heart fixed on Him. And practice makes perfect!

When the alarm rings, thank God for new mercies every morning. This is the day that the Lord has made –choose to meet it with gladness.

Make work a sacrifice of praise to God. No complaining about overpacked schedules or unpleasant coworkers! Thank God for the means to provide for our families and for healthy bodies to accomplish all that is required.

As we drift off to sleep, thank God for our homes, for protection over loved ones, for the food that He gave us to eat today.

And always, thank God for the joy of our salvation! His blood has washed us white as snow, forgiven us, and set us free. Even on rough days, thank Him for His sufficient grace that covers all imperfections. For protection and provision, bless His holy name.

Make gratitude your point on purpose! As we think on all He has done, gratitude swells in our hearts to overflow into our attitudes which change the atmosphere and our outcomes. Rejoice and be glad!

Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May your gratitude elevate your attitude and change the atmosphere for His glory. Rejoice and be glad in this day that God has given you!
