The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein

Recent headlines have pointed to a looming financial collapse, a reported coin shortage, and an emerging cashless society. Are we witnessing the rise of a one-world economic system (Revelation 13)?

God gives us His financial statement in one line: “The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine” (Haggai 2:8). The ultimate control of our finances rests in His hands, and He has charged us to be good stewards over the blessings that He has entrusted to us.

Money can easily become an idol – controlling us instead of our managing it. The love of money can replace our love for God. Many squander their health in pursuit of wealth only to spend it to recapture their well-being.

In Exodus 20:3, God warns us to place no other gods before Him. In Matthew 6:20, instead of stockpiling treasures here, Jesus instructs us to store treasures in heaven. Wherever our treasure is, we will eventually find ourselves there.

Honoring the Lord in our finances begins with recognizing that every gift we receive comes from our Heavenly Father. Even when we work hard to earn a paycheck, our jobs and the health and abilities to perform them are blessings from above. Be faithful to tithe, always remember the less fortunate, and ask the Lord to lead you in managing the rest. It all belongs to Him.

Today’s Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. God will meet your every need according to His riches in glory. Give thanks for His generosity and faithfulness to you!
