Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day

When God leads us to Truth, we cannot ignore it. Two pagan pharaohs demonstrate the different outcomes of either embracing or rejecting the Truth.

The first pharaoh had two dreams, and he was desperate for their interpretation. He called Joseph out of prison to explain them.

Joseph was a righteous man filled with Truth. The pharaoh had a decision to make: what would he do with the Truth he knew? He accepted the God-given Truth and acknowledged the Spirit of God in Joseph. It set Egypt free from famine and financial ruin to become the most powerful nation on earth.

After his death, another pharaoh came into power that did not know Joseph. Even though he had served as the highly-esteemed prime minister of Egypt, the new pharaoh chose to ignore the truth.

He knew that Joseph and his God were responsible for Egypt’s prosperity, but he enslaved the Israelites anyway. God remembered His promise to curse anyone who cursed Abraham’s descendants, and pharaoh’s body ended up floating in the Red Sea.

This Truth has made us one nation under God and poured out every blessing that we possess. This Truth has anchored our society and carried us through national crises. When we turn back to God’s Truth, we will see Him do great things in this country again.

Today’s Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May God lead you into all Truth and teach you from His Word as you wait on Him.
