PURSUE INTIMACY WITH GOD

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” Psalms 27:4 KJV

When you hang around God, He will show you what He is building in your life. He is able to build for you. Allow Him to build for you. There is no basis for any form of struggle in your Christian life. He has only given us one singular pursuit – to come out of the closet and replicate what He has shown us. That was the pursuit that made Jesus outstanding; that was how He lived. You will always see Jesus moving from the place of ministry into God’s presence. That was why His words carried such power. Thus, the people said, “We have not seen a man speak with so much authority.”

Jesus said, “It is not I. I am living my life from the mouth of my Father. As I hear, I judge.” The people saw Him perform countless miracles, even speak to the storm. They exclaimed, “What manner of man is this?” Jesus said, “My Father worketh hitherto and I work. Once I see what He is doing, I do it. I live based on the words from the lips of my Father. I place my ears close to His lips and so I do whatever He says.”

Even Paul continually reached out to what was before him because what lies ahead is always greater: “…this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind… I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14 KJV). Stop thinking you have seen the best of your life. No!  Your best life is still ahead of you. You have seen nothing yet. Press in for more of God. There is more in Him. Keep on attending church services and open your heart to Jesus. Pretty soon, we shall see a different you because God will take you to another level.
