“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”
Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)

Every day is a day of thanksgiving, the song writer said: ‘Before you ask what he is thanking God for,’ he added: “God’s been so good to me and everyday He is blessing me”. Before you said, He is not blessing you every day, may I ask you, how much do you pay for the air you breathe or the sun that shines over you on a daily basis? What did you pay for the life you live today?

If you can stop and take stock, you will see different reasons to thank God. The things you went through what looked like child’s play to you, others did and the story is different. There are many things we take for granted and rather focus on the things that we are believing God for. Beloved, thank God for where you are today. Many are out there wishing and praying to be like you, while you are looking at being like someone else. That is life!

Do not come before God empty. Come with a good substance. What has He blessed you with? If He has blessed you in millions, bring hundreds. If He has blessed you in thousands, bring thousands and if He has blessed you in hundreds, bring it cheerfully. Come, knowing that He knows you in and out and cannot be deceived. You may deceive your friends and family, but not God. He knows exactly what He has blessed y0u with and He is challenging you to bring Him the best.

Thanksgiving is not just a day in the calendar, thanksgiving must become a lifestyle. Thank Him whether you understand or not, and activate the power that is entrenched in praise.
