“Therefore, take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or, what shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?” Matthew 6:31 (KJV) Everywhere I look and anywhere I turn, as I listen to people, including Christians, all I see is fear and anxiety I am not just talking about nominal Christians, I am talking about those who are grounded. It appears to me some believers have bought an app called panic, worry or anxiety. As soon as there is a little challenge, they hit the button. And all these things are about what to eat, what to drink, what to wear and what to drive.  “How am I going to survive tomorrow?” I am already 50 and I don’t have a building. No roof over my head” I don’t have a child!  I have been married for several years and no child yet!  My relationship with my spouse is not working! People are anxious about almost everything. Consequently, the hospital is littered with people suffering from high blood pressure. Now hear what Jesus said: “Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing” (Matthew 6:25 NKJV). Here Jesus was saying something metaphorically. He was implying: are you saying the reason I died is for food, for clothing and for a car? Is that why I left the throne to die on your behalf? Then He said: “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Matthew 6:26 KJV).

Beloved, you are of greater value than other things in creation. You need to realize how much you have been dignified by heaven. Jesus paid the supreme price for your redemption. He counted you worthy. Put your trust in him. You will not be stranded. Before you came on board, your Heavenly Father knew what you will need. He knew you will need food. He knew you will need clothing. He knew you will need shelter. He knew you will need a spouse. Trust Him. He is able to supply all your needs. Further Reading: Matthew 6:25-33Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Gen. 10-11 / Evening- Matt.4
