Rampage of Rodents

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16
Years ago there was a report about rats in the Garden of the Louvre Museum in Paris. Security cameras showed the rodents at night foraging for food. Just recently I saw a follow up report. It seems there is a full blown infestation of rats now. How did it come to this? The Louvre relaxed their boundaries and policies about the use of their grounds. As they became more permissive, the public poured in and respect for the grounds diminished. Now people leave food and litter everywhere. Some even leave food specifically for the rats!
Evil has been allowed to flourish in today’s culture. It is even being fed. How do we confront this evil? We take light into the darkness. Bright intense light even deters rats. So let your life reflect the brightest of all lights, the Light of the world, Jesus Christ. Not only will you help shatter the darkness, others will see your good deeds and glorify the Father in Heaven.
