Memorise: And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:12
Bible Reading: John 14:1-3
- Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
- In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Bible Reading In One Year: Nehemiah 9-11; Acts 4:1-37
MESSAGE:
It is wisdom to seek Jesus. When you seek Jesus, everything else you forsook in the process will run after you (Matthew 6:33). The world we are in influences us to seek after material things. It is especially so for you young ones. Your attention is already on being rich and owning the most expensive things. This is why some teenagers engage in cyber-crimes, prostitution et cetera. But the fact is, if you put your attention on material things so much so that you push God aside, your life will end up very badly.
Seeking Jesus also means that you are conscious of the fact that Jesus is coming back again. Revelation 22:12 says, and behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. John 14:1-3 says He went to prepare a place for you and me. He is coming to take us to those purpose-built mansions. Are you ready? He is coming surely. But even if He tarries, when your time comes to leave the earth, judgment will follow (Hebrews 9:27). Although no one wishes that you die young, but young ones also die and each time someone dies, the Lord has returned for such an individual. You must therefore live in consideration of this fact every single moment. You must be ready at all times.
Action Point:
What is that thing that can disqualify you from entering Heaven? Deal with it today before it is too late.
Hymn: When We Walk With The Lord
- When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Chorus
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
- Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey. - Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey. - But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey. - Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
