Real Joy

“Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.”

Philippians 2:2

There are some things in life that are joy takers, and others that are joy givers. 

What are some of the joy takers? The first is habits – unhealthy attractions, time robbers, and things that keep us from being sensitive to God. The second is relationships – people with so much bitterness or anger that they suck the life out of you.  Now, what are the joy givers? Habits and relationships. The right kind of habits, the right disciplines, and relationships with people who enrich us, challenge us, and listen to us. What relationship do you think will give us the most joy? You guessed it – it’s our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. 

That is the relationship that will keep on giving us joy, real joy – wonderful joy!
