RECEIVING AND WALKING IN THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS

Colossians 2:6-7 (GNB), Matthew 7:21 (GNB)

Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. *”Not everyone who calls me ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do.

When you received Jesus as Lord, He became the owner and the One in charge of your life. You also received power to experience what sons and daughters of God experience, (John 1:12). God wants the life and ways of Jesus to dominate you and He wants you to manifest the dominion and authority of Jesus. As the Lord of your life, let Jesus be your all in all. Let Him be the foundation of your life and let your roots go deep down into Him by filling yourself with His word and build your life on Him. Let joy and thanksgiving continually overflow from your life because of the Lordship of Jesus over your life. You must love Him and submit to Him with all your heart. You must yield to His Spirit and do His will.

Let Him be your Shepherd indeed. Hear His voice and follow Him, (John 10:27). As you follow Him, He will transform your life, (Matt.4:19). Let the authority of Jesus radiate from your life. “Everything you do or say, then, should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks through him to God the Father,” (Col.3:17, GNB). Do everything you do as if it is Jesus doing it. From your prayer to God the Father, to the way you relate with people, to the way you do all things and the way you face the challenges and situations of life.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus over my life. Help me to also manifest the authority of Jesus in all I do.
