REFLECT CHRIST IN YOUR PURITY AND HOLINESS
1Timothy 4:12 (GNB), Ephesians 5:1-4 (NIV), Ephesians 1:4
Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in … purity. *Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children .…But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, …. *…he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Just like it happened to people like Joseph and Daniel, when we keep ourselves holy, we are not wasting our time or cheating ourselves. Rather, we are preparing and positioning ourselves as vessels that God will use to manifest His glory and excellence and fulfil His highest purposes on the earth. Sin is a distraction. It can destroy your life and it can make you lose your place in the purpose and plan of God for your life. Here is what 2Timothy 2:19 – 21 says in the Living Bible: “But God’s truth stands firm like a great rock, and nothing can shake it. It is a foundation stone with these words written on it: The Lord knows those who are really his, “and” A person who calls himself a Christian should not be doing things that are wrong. In a wealthy home there are dishes made of gold and silver as well as some made from wood and clay. The expensive dishes are used for guests, and the cheap ones are used in the kitchen or to put garbage in. If you stay away from sin you will be like one of these dishes made of purest gold-the very best in the house-so that Christ himself can use you for his highest purposes.”
God wants us to perfect or grow and mature in holiness out of our reverence and honour of Him, (2Cor.7:1, NIV). Be content and patient, (1Tim.6:6-11, Heb.13:5-6). Let your passion and commitment to righteous and holy living be genuine. Let it come from your inside. The Bible says, “Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself” (Dan.1:8). Daniel lived his life and carried out his work in such a way that no one could find anything to hold against him, (Dan.6:4). Love righteousness and hate iniquity, (Heb. 1:9). The grace of God is not a license to sin; it is an empowerment to live above sin, (Titus 2:11-12).
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for the ability you have given me in Christ to live a pure and holy life. I yield myself to you. Use me for your highest purposes.
