Memorise: Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9

Bible Reading: Exodus 3:10-12

  1. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
  2. And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
  3. And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

Bible Reading In One Year: Ezra 9-10; Acts 1:1-26

MESSAGE:

Today, one reason many believers are going round in circles is because they fail to involve God in their daily activities. They limit God to a secondary role. But if you could ask Moses, he would tell you that the secret of success is divine presence.

In today’s bible reading, God assured Moses of His presence in an assignment. God told Joshua in Joshua 1:9 that:

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

According to Acts 10:38, Jesus Christ achieved great success in His ministry while on earth because God’s presence was with Him. So, as long as God is with you, you are bound to prosper. But if you dont rely on Gods presence, it must mean that you rely on men.

Unfortunately, men, even at their best are not reliable. Men make promises they cannot keep, even if they intend to keep their promises, what guarantee do you have that they would be alive to fulfill them? God is the only reliable Source of help.

Prayer Point:

Lord Jesus, there is nothing I want more that your presence. Please be with me as I journey through life.

Hymn:

  1. When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
    He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

  1. Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
  2. Not a burden we bear,
    Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
  3. But we never can prove
    The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
    For the favour He shows,
    And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
  4. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
