REMAIN IN YOUR PLACE OF CALLING
“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 KJV
We are in desperate times and so many believers are having very deep struggles in their lives. Many appear to be overwhelmed by the challenges that they are facing. Many have questions that they can’t find answers to. “Why does it look as if heaven has become brass and earth as iron to me? Why are things difficult for me?”
Don’t forget the scripture in Proverbs 16:7: “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him” (NKJV). Your enemy may be the ground that you are operating on but that ground will be forced to answer to you. God will break the ground of the enemy and ensure that His purposes concerning you are not aborted.
People are also asking: “So what am I doing wrong? Why does it look as if God’s hand upon me has become a curse?” John the Baptist was operating in the desert, an arid place but people were coming from the city to seek for him. The influence and impact of John in the wilderness was felt from Jerusalem, Judea and the entire region round about Jordan. Why? Because he found his purpose in God and as long as he remained in his calling, he couldn’t miss it. Many believers are missing it these days and they are blaming God.
Where is the fire that you used to have? Where is the commitment that you used to have? Where is that spring that used to be in your feet? We have allowed the heat of the battle to overwhelm us and we are wondering if God has gone on a vacation. No! He that keeps me does not slumber or sleep! He is always there. He is God in the beginning and in the end; from everlasting to everlasting. But then, are you still where you used to be? The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. The ground that you are operating on belongs to God. And He has given you dominion.
