REMEMBER PEOPLE AND THANK GOD FOR THEM

2Timothy 1:3 (GNB), Romans 1:9 (TPT), Philemon 1:4 (GNB)

I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did. I thank him as I remember you always in my prayers night and day. *And God knows that I pray for you continually and at all times. For I passionately serve and worship him with my spirit in the gospel of his Son. *Brother Philemon, every time I pray, I mention you and give thanks to my God.

How often do you think of others in general and how often do you remember others when you are praying? Many times, the Holy Spirit wants to lead you to pray for others, but because you don’t remember others when you are praying, He cannot lead you to pray for them. There are times that the Holy Spirit will lead you to just give thanks for the lives of others. Thanksgiving is an important type of prayer and God wants us to engage in thanksgiving a lot, even for others.

Jesus always remembered His disciples and prayed for them, (Luke 22:31). Jesus even thought of you and me and prayed for us too, (John 17:20). Paul also did the same thing. God wants us to give thanks and pray for all men and those in authority, (1Tim.2:1-4). God wants us to intercede and pray for all saints, (Eph.6:18).

Just like the prayers that Jesus made for Peter, your prayers can go a long way to strengthen and restore the faith of others. By the Spirit, thank God for what He is doing in their lives and pray for God to complete and perfect the work He is doing in their lives. Submit their lives unto God and ask God for the supply of His strength to fill them in all areas of their lives. Pray in the Spirit for them as you are led. Pray for the supply of the Spirit for their current situation, (Phil.1:19).

Action Point:
Worship and thank God for the lives of those the Spirit will bring to your mind right now. Pray for them as the Spirit leads you.
