REST IN WHAT GOD HAS SAID

“And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.” Acts 12:6 KJV

I was asking God the other day: “Why was Peter sleeping without care when they put him in jail, and they planned to bring him out shortly to kill him? Why did that happen?” He said because Peter already heard the Word that was spoken on his behalf that he will grow old: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not” (John 21:18 KJV).

So, when they put him in jail and tied all his hands and feet, he was resting on what he had heard. He was deep asleep to the point that it took an angel to smite him on the side to wake him up. What gave him such a holy rest? It was because God had already spoken ahead of time. Beloved, you can also rest on what God has said; the devil is just wasting his time. Delay is not denial; you’re only facing a delay because of where you are going. You are a mighty miracle ready to happen. You are entering the big league.

As you cross into 2022, be assured that every word of prophecy and declaration made over your life will come to pass. God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. Go into the New Year in faith and full of confidence, knowing assuredly that victory is yours.

You will not fail; you will not be disappointed. You will not be stranded or denied. You will not die barren. You will not see shame or reproach. You will not die in disgrace. You will be celebrated. I encourage you to make a decision to completely rest on what God has said.
