Resurrection Day

April 17, 2022

“Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” – John 19:3000:0002:44

I trust this Passion Week Experience has made a lasting impression on you. The suffering and love of the Savior is indeed irresistible and moving. I am reminded of the words of Jesus in John 12:32, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” Christ endured great suffering and voluntarily gave His life on the cross to pay the price for your sin and mine. Such love should compel us to take a closer look at our own lives, purpose, and passion.

Passion Week culminates with the angelic announcement from the empty tomb – “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here but is risen….” For nearly two thousand years Christians around the world have continued to proclaim this same testimony – Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! It is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ that sets Christianity apart from all other religions and faiths. We serve a risen Savior who conquered sin and death so that you and I might have life everlasting.

Easter gives me that blessed assurance and so it will for all whom we’ve known, who have died in Christ therefore they now live with Christ forever and forever. And for this we say “Thank you Lord”. This Easter is special to me and perhaps for many to you. Because He lives we too shall live forever. Read more…
