So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth

An unlikely visitor has shown up in the church today – the spirit of antichrist. It has infiltrated the body of Christ and influenced us in subtle ways.

Many believers choose comfort over a righteous stand of conviction. Many make excuses for corruption rather than speak against it. We have softened the gospel to bow to political correctness instead of proclaiming it unashamedly.

If we stand for God’s truth, we will be labeled. We will be called radical. We will be painted with the same brush as the religious right. We will be controversial. We have become more concerned about public opinion than honoring our Savior.

When Jesus commanded us to shine a light, but we hide in fear, it is antichrist. When He told us to boldly proclaim the Gospel, but we distort His message to prevent offense, it is antichrist. When He told us to stand in the day of evil, but we refuse to engage, it is antichrist.

Now is the time to continually be filled with His Spirit, to burn hot with the zeal of God, to speak His truth without compromise, to stand against injustice, to defend the helpless, to shine a light into the darkness, and to wage war from our knees. Our Father demands no less.

Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. When He returns, may He find you faithfully working in fields ripe for harvest. May your testimony of God’s goodness compel many to come into His kingdom.
