RIGHTEOUS FOREVER

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)

Righteousness is having right standing with God. It is being always right before God. It is standing before God as if Sin does not exist. It is standing before God without any sense of Sin, fear inferiority, accusation guilt, condemnation, or judgement.

Righteousness goes farther; it is standing on an equality with God knowing that He will never see any spot in you. Can you imagine that? What Jesus did on the cross for you brings you to the point where you can stand inequality because when God looks at you, He does not see you, He sees Jesus and the finished work on Calvary. So you can enjoy His goodness as your heritage.

Righteousness is standing before God with a sense of having been discharged, acquitted, case closed, and no appeal for any wrongdoing. Righteousness is not right doing. It is being right (or right -being). And knowing that it is who you are, will cause you to do right. Righteous people do right.

You became righteous the moment you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Romans 1:16-17, Romans 10:9-10. You never worked for it. It is a gift and will never be taken away from you even if you do wrong. 2 Corinthians 5:21- ‘’ For He hath Made Him to be Sin for us, who knew no Sin that we might be Made the righteousness of God in Him.’’

When you walk in the reality of your righteousness you will reign in life (Romans 5:17). When you lose that mentality of your righteousness, you will become fearful of God and Satan and remain in bondage forever. You are forever Righteous. “Awake to Righteousness and Sin not.”

As you celebrate Jesus in this season, celebrate Him with a clear understanding of all He did just for you. When you understand what He did, you will celebrate His birth, not like another holiday but in awe of all that His coming has made available to us.
