Safety in Christ

BIBLE READING: 1 Samuel 10-12
TEXT: “For in him we live, and move, and have our being…” Acts 17 : 28.

MESSAGE Safety is in other but in Christ Jesus. Safety in Christ is very sure because He hides us in Himself that is why a car can tumble and tumble several times and is beyond repair, yet the believer in it is standing strong with no injury. Gun men can fire bullets at a believer and none could penetrate him. Why? The believer is dead and his life is hid in Christ and Christ in God (Col. 3 :3). What cannot penetrate Jesus cannot get at him. What kills mere men cannot kill him. He is no more under the law of sin and death. His life is a mystery in Christ Jesus. Christ, the one now living through him, and what cannot bring down Christ, cannot bring him down.
In Galatians 2 :20; Apostle Paul speaks of the life of the believer. No wonder the safety of the believer is such a mystery to the world. However the arrow, or missiles fired at him spiritually or physically, the believer with an understanding of his dwelling place in Christ Jesus is secured. Scripture says, “in Him we live…” The actual dwelling place of a child of God is in Christ Jesus.

In that dwelling place sickness and diseases are forbidden, hired assassins, kidnappers, armed robbers, etc. are forbidden. That is why scriptures says in Psalms 91:10 “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.” When we are conscious of this truth that we live in Christ and move in Him and have our being in Him, we live about the happenings in the world.
The plagues ravaging others can’t get at us for we are seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above the realms they can penetrate. What a safety we have in Christ.
