Satanic Enquiries

Scripture Reading: Matthew 2: 1-12

Focus

“And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.” (Matthew 2: 4)

In our Focal Scripture, Herod demanded from the chief priests and scribes where Jesus should be born. Herod was making enquiries, not in a bid to go and show love to Jesus, but to find occasion to destroy him. Herod eventually killed all the children who were two years and below, in a bid to get at Jesus. So his enquiry was for the purpose of getting information with which to destroy Jesus. He was making enquiries on how to kill Jesus.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every satanic enquiry that is being made concerning you in order to take you down, I command it to scatter by fire. Every man that is making enquiries about your movement in order to cause you harm, I command it to scatter by fire. Every satanic conspiracy that is being made against you in order to take you down, let it scatter by fire. Every effort that is being made to reduce your destiny, scatter by fire.

How could Jesus show up to fulfill the mandate that God placed on Him, only for Herod to start making enquiries on how to cut short His destiny? How could Herod even start making satanic plans to cut down the destiny of someone who did nothing to him? Hear me as I hear the Lord: every man that is planning to cut short your destiny, scatter by fire. Every man whom you did not offend who is planning to kill you, let fire answer.

Herod eventually got information about the birth of Jesus, but he was never able to get at Jesus. He got information about Jesus, but he could not succeed in his evil plans against Jesus. Those who are plotting against you are wasting their time. No matter how hard they try, they will never succeed. No matter how informed they are about your movement, you will never fall into their trap. The gates of hell will never prevail against you.

Stay connected to Jesus, and you will prevail over every satanic arrangement made against you.
