Say what God is Saying

Hebrews 13:5-6, Job 22:29, Jeremiah 1:6-7 (LB)
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. *When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. *“O Lord God,” I said, “I can’t do that! I’m far too young! I’m only a youth!” “Don’t say that,” he replied, “for you will go wherever I send you and speak whatever I tell you to.”

John 8:28 reveals that while on earth, Jesus only spoke what God the Father taught or instructed Him to say. This was a major secret of His victorious living. After we join God to laugh and rejoice as we studied yesterday, we must also join Him to boldly speak and declare what He is saying about our lives and situation.

God does not want us to be afraid and talk like people of the world. Isaiah 8:12 (CEV) says. “Don’t call something a rebellious plot, just because they do, and don’t be afraid of something, just because they are.” We are different from the people of the world. God wants us to boldly join Him to say what He is saying. We have received God’s Spirit so that we can know the deep things that are in the mindof God and as the Spirit of God reveals them to us, God expects us to speak and declare them (1Cor.2:9-13). God wants us to talk like Jesus. The Bible says of Jesus that He spoke as one with authority (Matt.7:28-29). God did not tell Ezekiel to complain or describe the negative state of the dry bones. God told Him to prophesy to the dry bones to hear the word of the Lord (Ezek.37:14). When the earth was without form and void, God did not worry or complain about it, God spoke light and creation into being (Gen.1:1-3).

Fill yourself with God’s word. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). Fill yourself with the revelation of Christ (Col.3:16). Your tongue is anointed and guided by the Holy Ghost. Speak like someone that has hope. The Bible says there is hope in your end (Jer.31:17). Say of Lord that He is your refuge (Psa.91:2). Declare that you are redeemed (Osa.107:2).

Action Point:
Pray in the Spirit right now and begin to speak God’s word into your life. Thank God for the grace to always believe and speak like Him.
