SEPARATED FROM THE SHAKING THAT WILL COME

“And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Haggai 2:7&9 KJV

It is exciting that the Lord is telling us that despite events happening around the world, the glory of the last days’ church will be greater than the former; and that is speaking of you. That means that you have a glorious future. Your tomorrow is already settled and it is very glorious. In other words, God has already announced the defeat of the devil in advance. So no matter what he does, he has already proclaimed a failure.

The Lord is making us understand the events that will climax the last days. Part of it will be a “Shaking” that must happen. We cannot fast it out as Christians and we cannot pray it out. It has to happen! This shaking is already on across the world. People are trying to get the centre to hold but it is not holding. There is so much going on in the world simultaneously. The world leaders are now considering the possibility of establishing a place where everyone (including people of other faith) will come and worship in Jerusalem, thinking that it will bring peace. It is not going to happen. God is shaking the heaven and the earth.

The economy of the world is being shaken. There is nowhere to turn to. And so God is bringing it to our notice that everything that can be shaken will be shaken.

Amid all this shaking, where is the hope of the church? Where is our hope? Jesus, praying in John 17:15-17 said: “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth”.

God’s Word is the truth. Through the power of the Word, the Church shall be separated from the corruption that will come.  With His Word, the Church shall be separated from the shaking that will come because His Word is truth. If everything is shaking, it is God’s Word only that will remain.
