“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (KJV) I know that we are in the dispensation of grace. Many people have listened to the message of grace and taken it too far. Beloved, error is truth stretched too far. You may be right, but when you stretch it way out of proportion, it will become error.  I have heard people say that the moment you give your life to Christ, you can live anyhow and heaven is guaranteed. Child of God, yes, the moment you give your life to Christ, a new spirit is born inside you and you become a new man. This is perfectly true, and you are heaven ready. However, if you refuse to live above the mundane things, never forget: Sin has wages. The Bible says the wages of sin is death; but you argued that when you committed that sin you did not die, so you think you can continue. Please don’t fall for that lie of the devil.

Death is not just when you fall down or slump and die. Each time you commit sin, something dies in you. You set yourself back a few steps. You lose steam to move forward and at time you begin to struggle. This ought not to be. When you gave your life to Christ, He gave you power to live above sin. But God will not force you, it is your choice. Like He said to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live”. You are not a robot. God give you choices. It is your prerogative to choose life. As you go about your assignment, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit that you may choose life at every turn and reap the benefit of obedience. Further Reading: Romans 6:1-23Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Leviticus 26-27; Evening- Mark 2
