Memorise: And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: – John 16:8

Bible Reading: John 16:7-11

  1. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if l go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if l depart, I will send him unto you.
  2. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
  3. Of sin, because they believe not on me;
  4. Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
  5. Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Bible Reading In One Year: Isaiah 39-40; Philippians 4:1-23

MESSAGE:

Several years ago, when we had just relocated to the Redemption Camp, I went on a prayer walk one evening. This was a usual practice for me but that very evening, I prayed with so much intensity that the earth shook and the tremors were felt in neighbouring communities, even all the way to Ijebu Ode where pictures were reported to have dropped from walls.

Also, some years back, a woman of God entered a hotel. It was as if the Holy Spirit enveloped the building. Not long after, hotel guests who were busy fornicating became suddenly convicted of their sin, broke down in tears and asked God for forgiveness in their various chalets. They didn’t see the woman of God but the presence of the Holy Spirit was mighty from the moment she stepped into the place.

As a carrier of the Holy Spirit, people should become uncomfortable to sin around you.Sinners should easily get convicted and converted when they meet with you.

Key Point:

Are sinners comfortable around you or does the Holy Spirit in you convict them and you lead them to repentance and salvation?

Hymn: Stand Up! Stand Up For Jesus

  1. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    Ye soldiers of the Cross!
    Lift high His royal banner;
    It must not suffer loss.
    From vict’ry unto vict’ry
    His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished,
    And Christ is Lord indeed.
  2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    The trumpet call obey;
    Forth to the mighty conflict,
    In this His glorious day;
    Ye that are men now serve Him
    Against unnumbered foes;
    Let courage rise with danger,
    And strength to strength oppose.
  3. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
    Stand in His strength alone;
    The arm of flesh will fail you,
    Ye dare not trust your own:
    Put on the gospel armour,
    And watching unto prayer;
    Where duty calls, or danger,
    Be never wanting there.
  4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
    The strife will not be long;
    This day the noise of battle,
    The next the victor’s song;
    To him that overcometh,
    A crown of life shall be;
    He with the King of glory
    Shall reign eternally.
