SOLD OUT TO GOD (2).

1Timothy 1:15-16 (CEV), 1Peter 2:10 (CEV)
“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” …I was the worst sinner of all! But … God had mercy on me and let me be an example of the endless patience of Christ Jesus. He did this so that others would put their faith in Christ and have eternal life. *”Once you were nobody. Now you are God’s people. At one time no one pitied you. Now God has treated you with kindness.”

One reason Apostle Paul was sold out to God, was because He understood how great the love and kindness of God to him was. He knew how great of a sinner he was and how his life was spared and saved by the goodness and kindness of God and He was so grateful for this. He became so sold out to God that he said for him to live was Christ and to die was gain, (Phil.1:21). He wanted to know Christ more than anything else and He wanted to press into Christ and be all that Christ had saved Him for (Phil.3:8-14).

The more we understand the greatness of God’s love and kindness to us in Christ, the more we will respond to God’s love by giving our all to Him and being sold out to Him. When Jesus was talking about the woman who ran to him, fell at his feet, washed his feet with her tears, dried them with her hair and poured out her very expensive perfume on Him, He said, “She has been forgiven of all her many sins. This is why she has shown me such extravagant love. But those who assume they have very little to be forgiven will love me very little,” (Luke 7:47, TPT). The difference in the attitude of this woman and everyone else in the room was the understanding this woman had of how loving Jesus was. The Bible says, “We love him, because he first loved us,” (1 John 4:19).  

Prayer Focus:
Rejoice and thank God for the great love and kindness He has shown you in Christ.
