SPEAK THE WORD BOLDLY

“And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word.” Acts 4:29 KJV

Beloved, you are in Christ and that means being in His ability and not in your own ability. It is in Christ’s ability that you can live above sin. It is in His ability that you will not be afraid. Christ has won the victory for you. However, you need boldness to exercise your victory. The scripture says that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The day you received the Holy Spirit, you received boldness.

In Acts chapter 4, after Peter and John had been beaten and threatened by the religious leaders not to preach in the name of Jesus, they went to their company to pray and requested for boldness to be able to speak the Word. The Word is the power of God. In Acts 4:31, the Bible says: “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”  See what boldness can do! It gave them victory over the threats.

There can be no signs and wonders if we don’t speak the word of God.  The devil is fighting against boldness and the togetherness of the body of Christ.  As we begin to speak boldly, the Church of Jesus Christ will take her place and make impact in the world.

Philippians 1:20 emphasizes boldness because of its strategic importance to the church. Queen Esther couldn’t have gone before king Ahasuerus if not for boldness because a decree had been passed. It took boldness for Daniel to pray even after the decree had been passed.  It took boldness for the three Hebrew children to defy the instructions of the King of Babylon. It takes boldness to refuse to compromise.  Child of God you need to be bold and strong in the Lord so that you do not compromise your faith. You are God’s Ambassador. Be bold!
