STAND YOUR GROUND IN FAITH

Hebrew 11:1-2 (LB & NLT), Ephesians 6:10 (LB) What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Men of God in days of old were famous for their faith.Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you.

It is only by faith that we can stand against the wiles of the devil. As a believer, the devil’s major weapon against you is wiles (tricks and lies) and your victory over him is your standing in faith concerning all that God says and has done for you in Christ. The devil wants you to fall for his lies and deceits but God wants you to stand by faith in His truth concerning you. Stand firmly on God’s Word and declare it as your reality. God is not a man that He should lie. If He has said it He will perform it (Num.23:19) Do not be moved by what you see, feel, hear, taste or smell. They are lying vanities (Jonah 2:8). Stand strong on what God has said. What God has said are your true realities and you can only experience them by standing strong in faith.

It is a personal decision you have to make. In your life, let God be true and every other thing, person and circumstance be a liar (Rom.3:4). You are more than conquerors through Him that loved you (Rom.8:37). Jesus has overcome for you and He has given you the victory. Jesus said, “…in the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”, (John 16:33).

See the victory Christ has won for you in that area of your life and be tenacious and dogged about it. Find what God has said about you and use it to pin your foot to the ground. Do not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief. Be strong in faith giving glory to God, (Rom.4:20). Rejoice and celebrate your victory for it is sure already and it shall come to pass. Do not give up and do not give in to fear. Hold on and fear no evil for God is with you, (Psa.23:4). By faith, you will obtain a good report.

Action Point:
Thank God for what He says about you and all He has done for you in Christ. Boldly declare God’s promises and your victory right now.
