STANDING IN THE GAP

EZEKIEL 22:29-30, LUKE 22:31-32 The people of the land have used oppression…robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, …. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. …Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:

God is always looking for men and women who will stand in the gap and do His will in their generation. God testified that He found David, a man after His own heart who will do His will, (Acts 13:22) and the Bible says after David served God’s purpose in his generation, he died and was buried, (Acts 13:36).

Has God found you? Have you made yourself available for God to move through you to touch and bless lives and avert evil from many lives, families, organizations, societies and even nations? God wants to put His burdens and desires on your heart so you can pray and also give yourself for their fulfillment. His burdens and desires for individuals, families, churches, localities, organizations, sectors of a nation and for entire nations.

In Isaiah 42:18-22, God was lamenting about how blind and deaf his servants were. Many things were going wrong around them, but there was no one to intercede for restoration. God wants to use you to raise up foundations for many generations, (Isa.58:12). God found Jesus to stand in the gap for Peter and also the entire world (by His death in the Cross). God found Joseph to stand in the gap for Egypt and to save the entire world in time of famine. God wants to use you too.

PRAYER:
I yield myself to you, Dear Lord. Use me to pray and to touch and bless many lives. Pray in the Spirit right now.
