STAY FOCUSED ON THE WORD OF GOD

“And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.” Acts 27:12 KJVThe problem with believers is that we are seeing where we are and not what God is revealing to us. We are not seeing what God wants us to see. The Word of God will always show you what God intends. And that should be the focus of your life.We are often carried away and we cast our attention on what men wants us to see and not what God wants us to see. In Acts 27:12 those folks took their decision based on what they saw. And because the haven or harbor was not commodious or comfortable to winter in “. So majority of the sailors advised them to depart thence also if by any means they might attain to Phenice. In other words, let’s get to a better harbor.Majority said let’s go! Let’s not stay here. Let’s look for somewhere better. If that’s what you build your life on, you are already doomed. You have already signed for failure because at times God begins with negative before you see the positive.Right now, you may be in a very dark condition and it is so easy to say that your case is closed. No!  That is the beginning of great things. Don’t use your present condition to determine where you are going.Every child of God has a colourful future. Always focus on that future. Focus on where you are going. I mean if, for instance, you are driving and you are looking here and there, you know what will happen, you will crash. Those who navigate yachts will tell you that if you are on the steering, you should put your eyes on something in front of the boat called the tip. If you focus there, with the steering you’ll be moving straight, but if you look somewhere other than that, you will move towards another direction. Let your eyes be single-minded based on God’s Word. Further Reading: Acts: 27:9-25. 2Corinthians 4:18, 5:7Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Psalms 140-142; Evening- 1 Corinthians 14:1-20
