STAY IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF FAITH
Luke 1:35-40 (GNB) The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and God’s power will rest upon you. …. Remember your relative Elizabeth. It is said that she cannot have children, but she herself is now six months pregnant, even though she is very old. For there is nothing that God cannot do.” “I am the Lord’s servant,” said Mary; “may it happen to me as you have said.” And the angel left her. Soon afterward Mary got ready and hurried off to a town in the hill country of Judea. She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth.

What value do you place on your faith? The value you place on your faith will determine how you treat your faith. The Bible says your faith is more precious than gold, (1Pet. 1:7, GNB). Child of God, you need to treat your faith with much more care and value than you would treat items of gold. You must guard your faith with all diligence. Be deliberate about keeping yourself in an atmosphere where your faith is always stirred up and alive. Do not leave your faith to chance.
When it seemed like Abraham was losing faith, God had to take him outside to show him the stars of the sky and reassure him of His Word (Gen.15:5). Move out and change your focus. What are you looking at or listening to? Are you looking at things that remind you of God’s love, promises and faithfulness or at things that remind you how bad your situation is? Look at God’s Word more than you look at the doctor’s report. Be deliberate about seeing the picture of God’s promises and your desires being fulfilled in your life by the power of God. The angel spoke God’s word to Mary until Mary believed it and accepted it as her reality. The angel also told Mary about the miraculous power of God that was manifesting in Elizabeth’s life and Mary wisely arose and went to see Elizabeth so she could be around that same atmosphere of faith. Fellowship with other believers.
Don’t forsake the gathering of the saints (Heb.10:25). Stay more around people that talk like God and not like the world. The Bible says faith works by love, (Gal.5:6). Keep your focus ever fixed on the love of God, (Jude 1:21). Fellowship with God and meditate on the revelation of Christ more and more.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for your faith and ask Him to grant you the wisdom and strength to be more deliberate about staying in an atmosphere of faith.
