STOP MOVING TOWARDS THE DEVIL
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” 1 John 3:8 KJVThe Son of God was revealed that He might destroy the works of the devil. Sin is the works of the devil. Christ came to destroy it. And this was fully accomplished in His redemptive works on the cross. According to 1 John 3:19-20: “And hereby we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things”Now that your sins are completely forgiven, don’t gravitate towards a lifestyle of sin anymore. Sin will bring condemnation to your heart. That is what sin does! Every day you are living in sin and moving towards sin, your heart will condemn you. God will not condemn you! God will love you! But your heart will condemn you! Your heart will be cold towards God and this will cause you to run like Adam and Eve. You will not have appetite to pray. You will not have the desire to read the bible. Consequently, such a believer will become an easy prey to the devil. You don’t want to go in that direction. You don’t want to get to a point where your conscience will no more bother you. If you continue in sin, that is what will happen. You cannot be enjoying God’s grace and at the same time enjoying the pleasures of sin without consequences. Sin has wages! Sin will bring shame to you. Sin will bring disgrace to you. Sin can make you lose your life and die prematurely. Sin will cost you your dreams and visions. Sin will expose you to attack by demonic forces because you are not moving towards God. But you must move towards something. If you are not moving towards God, you will be moving towards the devil. Take a quality decision today to consistently move towards God. The grace to live above sin is already available to you.Further Reading. 1 John 3:1-24Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Song of Solomon 1-3; Evening- Galatians 2
