One night at dinner, a father led the family in a prayer of blessing – thanking God for their food, their home, their church, and His provision for all their needs. When they began to eat, the father proceeded to comment on his tough day at the office, saying some unkind things about one of his co-workers, and complaining about how little people appreciated his work. One of the children asked: “Daddy. When you prayed before dinner, did God hear what you said?” “Yes, of course, said the father.” “And when you complained just now about all your problems, did God hear that too?” “Well, yes.” Then the child asked: “Which one did He believe?”
