Tell it to Jesus
by Rev (Dr.) Lizzy-Johnson Suleman
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Jonah 3-4
TEXT: “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities…” Hebrews 4 :15.
MESSAGE: I have discovered in life that who you tell your problems to determines if you will get solutions to them or drown in them. Why tell your problem to someone who cannot help you? It is not enough to just talk, the talk should lead you to the solution. Some even tell their problems to those who aggravate them or use them to mock them or even offer help that lead them out of the faith.
It is true that a problem shared, is a problem ‘half solved’, but every problem has where it should be first tabled. It has the way maker, solution provider, mountain mover in our master and savior Jesus Christ. He is the one you tell your problems to and you are at peace because He will make a way out of it even when all hope of getting out seems lost. When you tell your problems to Him, He connects you to that man who He has prepared to execute the human side of the solution to the glory of His name.
So when a problem arises, you are not permitted to tell anyone except you have told it to Jesus. He is the author and the finisher of our faith, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. So when you tell Him first, then if necessary, He will impress in your spirit or lead you to the man on that path of life to execute His counsel of help.
Child of God, tell it to Jesus. He is too faithful to fail you. His compassion is so overwhelming not to be touched in what you are going through. He is your Lord and also a friend that will not betray your trust. He is a true confident, a loving and caring counselor who only leads you to the solution that will make you better. When you tell him that problem, He goes all the way to the end of it. That is He is the beginning and the end.
What challenge is before you presently? No matter what it is, have you tabled it before Jesus? Have you spoken to Him about it? He says in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
What a great invitation!
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to always tell Jesus everything about me.
