“And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.”
John 6: 11 KJV

Too many times, we look at our situation and forget to acknowledge God who is able to do exceeding abundantly. It was this same attitude that the disciples came with when they saw that they did not have enough to feed the multitude and Jesus did not allow them to send the people away. How can you be talking about lack in the presence of God?

Mark 6:39 says Jesus made all to sit down in companies of fifties and hundreds. Then He took the five loaves and two fishes which were not enough, looked up to heaven, blessed and brake the loaves and gave them to His disciples.  And the disciples set them before the multitudes.  The two fishes were also divided by Him among them all. They did all eat and after eating, they took up 12 baskets full of the fragments and fishes.

The miracle came when Jesus took what was not enough and thanked God for it. At times your blessings don’t come complete. At times, it manifests in 30 folds, 60 folds, or 100 folds. Don’t abort it because it is only 30, keep on standing, it will move to 60, and then it will move to 100. Jesus thanked God for it. He didn’t grumble to God. Many of us grumble a lot. The business has not taken off as you expected, but you’re still eating. Look at your body, it’s shining. You can say to God, I thank you for life. I thank you because I am mentally alert. I am strong spiritually, I am filled with vitality. Even when I am feeling the pain and all is not well, I still thank God because I believe it is already done.
