THE ABOUNDING GRACE OF GOD

2Corinthians 9:8 (AMP), John 1:16 (AMP)

And God is able to make all grace […] come in abundance to you, so that you may always […] have complete sufficiency in everything […], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity. *For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift].

One of the meanings of the word abound is ‘to overflow’ and one of the attributes of God’s grace is that it abounds. The grace of God, which He constantly pours into our lives through Christ is so abundant and powerful that it continues to increase and overflow into every area of our lives. It does not remain at one level and it cannot be overcome by any force or situation. In fact, it is so powerful and dynamic that it can manifest and overflow in every single area of our lives; not just our spiritual lives. It empowers us and causes us to constantly experience God’s blessing, favour and manifestation of His gifts and abilities.

Some people use the term, ‘by the grace of God’ as if the grace of God is something weak. Others use it when they are unsure they will be able to do something. When you understand the power and abounding nature of God’s grace, you will never feel powerless or lack favour, blessing or God’s ability in any area of your life. The grace of God will not be in vain in your life (2Cor.6:1). Apostle Paul assured us that God’s amazing grace was not in vain in his life. Rather, it made him all he was and caused him to work even harder than all other apostles (1Cor.15:10). This will be your testimony in all areas of your life. Keep filling yourself with the revelation of God’s grace. The revelation of God’s grace in Christ causes the grace of God to overflow in our lives (Acts 20:32).

Prayer:
I thank you, Father, that your grace is abounding in all areas of my life. Help me to keep filling myself with the revelation of your grace.
