Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” – Hebrews 10: 25

After you are born again, a great change will come into your life if you fellowship a lot. We are in the world but we are not of the world. Everything in the world is cold and you are hot. If you take a coal of fire out of the midst of fellow charcoals and set it apart, it will soon grow cold. That is what happens when you are taken out of fellowship. You soon grow cold.

Other church members are your fellow charcoals. As soon as you are lifted out of your fellowship, the meetings and the church, you begin to grow cold. I have seen very strong Christians completely backslide because they stopped going for fellowship.

This is why you must be careful when you travel to a new location. Every new location presents a challenge of fellowship. When you move to a new place, you may fall because you do not get plugged into good fellowship. Every time you travel, you must quickly get into the fellowship. Otherwise, you will fall away and grow cold. In Hebrews, the warning is clear. “Do not forsake the assembling together as is the manner of some.”

Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 (AMP)
