THE AUDACITY OF KNOWING ALL YOU ARE IN CHRIST
Acts 19:13-15 (NIV), Revelation 5:9-10 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”…for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood… And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.*
Knowing who you are in Christ is about the greatest type of knowledge you need in life. There is so much that Christ has made and raised you into, and these things contain so much blessings, power and glory, (Eph.3:8, 1Cor.2:9-12). The challenge however, is that you cannot enjoy and walk in these blessings, power and glory if you do not have a personal revelation of these wonderful things that Christ has made you. So many of us as believers are living far below God’s expectation and provision for us in various areas of our lives, because we have not come to a deep understanding and personal revelation of all that God has made us in Christ. Christ came to raise us unto glory (Heb.2:10).
Knowing all you are in Christ, will enhance every area of your life. From your prayer life, to your faith, to the way you talk and the way you behave. When you know all you are in Christ, there are certain things and people that you will stop running after. Instead of looking for validation and acceptance from people, you will be the one using the love and fullness of God to accept people and validate them. You will operate in greater wholeness and completeness. You will not be carried away with positions, titles, possessions and other ephemeral things that people of this world crave for and are willing to fight, kill and sacrifice their lives for. When you know all you are in Christ, you will reject certain ‘good’ offers (John 6:15) and you will be willing to serve, make sacrifices and be a blessing to others, (John 13:3-5).
The anointing of God will be activated in your life. You will carry yourself differently and you will operate in greater boldness and victory in life.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please open my eyes by your Spirit and fill my heart with the revelations of all the wonderful things that you have made me in Christ.
