THE CHURCH IS THE CENTRE OF ATTRACTION
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.” Isaiah 2:2 KJVIn these last days, God has made His Church the centre of attraction. In our text, we are told that in the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be firmly established, as the highest of mountains, and all the nations shall flow unto it. In other words, in the midst of the battles and challenges, the Church is still the centre of attraction, established in the top of the mountains. When we talk about the Church, we are talking about people. In Christ, we are the church. We are the ones that will be positioned and exalted above the hills, and all the heathens will stream in our direction. They will be attracted to us whether they like it or not. And it depends on how positioned we are.According to Isaiah 2:3: “…. many people shall go and say, Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths, for the Law will go out of Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem: ….” (KJV). They would come because they have lost their way. They tried to do it their way, but it is not working. The church is expected to be the pacesetters; we cannot copy the world. We cannot make the world our standard. Why? It is because the Spirit of God dwells in us and we have access to the mind of God.Beloved, greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). I challenge you today to rise above the challenges and fulfil all that God has ordained you to be. You are the light of the world, the salt of the earth, the solution provider and the pacesetter.Further Reading: Matthew 16:15-18; Isaiah 2:1-3; Micah 4:1-2.Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Psalms 143-145; Evening- 1 Corinthians 14:21-40
