THE COMPLETENESS OF THE FATHER’S LOVE

John 3:35 (CEV), John 5:20 (CEV), John 16:32 (CEV)
The Father loves the Son and has given him everything. *The Father loves the Son and has shown him everything he does. The Father will show him even greater things, and you will be amazed. *The time will come and is already here when all of you will be scattered. Each of you will go back home and leave me by myself. But the Father will be with me, and I won’t be alone.

As you read through the scriptures, particularly in the gospels, one thing you will notice is the kind of love that existed between Jesus and God the Father. As God the Father kept declaring that Jesus was His beloved Son with whom He was well pleased, Jesus also kept declaring that God the Father loved Him and that God the Father would never leave Him alone. Jesus could not successfully carry out His assignment on the earth without this consciousness. This consciousness must have been part of the things that made Him so drawn to spending quality time in prayer and fellowship with the Father.

The very best place to get your sense of worth and completeness is in the love of God the Father. The love that God the Father has for you is sure and stable all the time. It is eternal. He loved you even while you were a sinner/His enemy (Rom.5:8). Your consciousness of the love of God fills you with the fulness of God, (Eph.3:19). It is from this completeness and wholeness you have in you that you can love others as Christ would. Jesus said, “I have loved you, just as my Father has loved me. So remain faithful to my love for you,” (John 15:9, CEV). His love for us was born out of the love God the Father has for Him. For us to walk in love like Christ, we must have the same mindset Christ has. Christ was complete by the fulness of God the Father’s love in Him.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for how the great love you have for me has made me complete and whole in every area of my life.
