THE DEVIL IS A DEFEATED FOE

“And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent” 1Samuel 17:4 KJV

The devil’s head is off already so we have no reason to fear. David brought Goliath’s head back home to give an assurance to those back home that the enemy is defeated. The devil is a defeated foe. But he wants you to be ignorant of this truth

The book of John 16:33 says: “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]” (Amplified)

You see, one of the challenges of God’s people is our inability, many times, to walk in the revelation of the Word of God. It is not just enough to read. There is also a need for you to meditate and receive the full import of what God is saying. Until you fully understand the victory that Christ has purchased for us, you will be shortchanged by the enemy.

The devil specializes in keeping God’s people ignorant. That is why Paul in his prayers was not praying for people to get this or to get that. He was more concerned about us knowing. He wants us to have understanding and to have the revelation. His prayer in Ephesians 1:17 reads thus: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him”. Knowing is very important because “through knowledge shall the just be delivered”. (Proverb 11:9 KJV)

Another scripture says, “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” (Psalm 119:18). It is in His light that you will see light. When the light comes, darkness recedes. So, we need to know what God has done for us in Christ Jesus. Don’t allow yourself to be shortchanged by the devil.
