THE DEVIL IS AFTER THE WORD
“But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.” Acts 27:14 KJV
This was Paul on his way to Rome. God had given assurance and spoken concerning him that he was going to be in Rome. He was not going to be stopped halfway. Every effort was made to kill Paul, but because of divine happenings, he was not killed. Some people had taken an oath that they would not eat or drink until they kill Paul. But by divine manipulation, a young boy heard when they were plotting against Paul and then went to reveal this plot to the Roman officials who now moved Paul ahead of time to prevent those people from killing him. It was a divine arrangement that God made based on the Word.
The Word of God has no margin for error and will never fall to the ground. Paul had spoken by the Word of God that he would defend himself in Rome. So all these things came about to attempt to prevent it from coming to pass.
That is telling you that the devil will always fight every Word of God. The battle is about the Word and the promise.
Persecution, trial, temptation, and difficulty; all came for the Word’s sake. The more revelation you receive, the more attack you will be under. But know, however, that under normal circumstances, a teacher does not set an examination on something that he has not already taught his pupils.
He will only set an examination because he is convinced that he has taught the pupils. So, the more revelation, the more the test and the trials.
Remember it was the same Paul who, in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, said that the enemy was coming against him because of the abundance of revelation. He now began to ask God, please help me take away this reproach and attack of the enemy. And the Lord said to him “My grace is sufficient for thee.” So, the more revelation you receive the more you are under attack. But the grace of God will uphold you.
