THE FIELD OF GOD’S TREASURE

MATTHEW 13:44(GNB), MATTHEW 6:33(GNB)

The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man happens to find a treasure hidden in a field. He covers it up again, and is so happy that he goes and sells everything he has, and then goes back and buy that field. Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things.

The man in our first text above did something rather phenomenal. He was likely working as a servant in the field where he found the treasure. Overwhelmed by his find, he decided to sell everything he had in order to buy the field and become its legal owner. He valued the treasure he found so much that he sought to own and enjoy it by all means. He was willing to make that field his sole possession because to him the field and its treasure were more valuable than everything he possessed.
This is God’s will for our lives and the same attitude He wants us to have towards His Kingdom. God wants us to let go of everything else and make what He values and treasures what we value and treasure the most .when we do this , God Himself provides us with every other thing we need.

When we value what God values, God causes us to experience His abundance.
The field of God’s treasure is Christ . Everything God treasures is in Christ. “All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are his in Christ” (Colossians 2:4). As you make Christ your all in all, you will value what God values and you will experience God’s abundance in your life.

Prayer:
Dear Father, the things that You treasure and value are more important to me than everything else. Christ is my all in all.
