“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” 1 Peter 5:10 (KJV) Welcome to a brand-new year; your year of all grace! This year, it is my prayer that the things that seemingly eluded you in the past will become easy for you this year, In Jesus’ name. As we start this year, the Lord has given me this word for you. You may be so unexcited about this year. Maybe the devil has brought out all your dashed hopes and you wonder what will be different this year. If you are in that position, this word is specifically for you. Our scripture for today says, “… after you have suffered a while…” beloved, today is the first day called ‘after’. All the sufferings of previous years are now history. You have suffered a while, so you have entered into that season where grace will make things easy for you. Look at the scripture again and see what God is releasing into your life: He has promised to make you perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you. What is more than that? You may be there feeling like “I have heard it before”. Beloved, God can be trusted, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Whatever He says, becomes. He does not play on words. Take His word to Him in prayer. Meditate on the word until you become one with the word. Don’t forget that you have a responsibility to experience this promise. I have said it over and over and it bears repetition, any prayer that makes the manifestation depend 100% on God is an irresponsible prayer.
So, don’t fold your hands and expect the testimony to fall upon you like a bag of cherries. Stand on the word, study the word, meditate on it, act on it and God will honour your faith. This year is not permitted to end without your tangible testimony. Compliments of the season. Further Reading: 1 Pet. 5:8-12Daily Bible Reading: morning Gen 1-3; Evening Mathew 1 |
